Zambia has the largest water resources in the whole of southern Africa, with five massive lakes (including Lake Kariba), plentiful rivers (among them the mighty Zambezi) and waterfalls (17 in total, among them the glorious Victoria Falls, one of the World’s Seven Natural Wonders).
With its abundance of water, Zambia offers excellent tiger and fly fishing, canoeing safaris, houseboating holidays, spectacular white water rafting, kayaking and river surfing.
Of course there is also the bountiful wildlife that flock to Zambia’s water sources. In Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park for example, there are a great concentration of animals around the Luangwa River. In total, there are 60 different animal species and 400 different bird species in the Park.
It’s no wonder that Zambia is hailed as one of Africa’s great safari adventures.
