Walking for Lions is a non-profit organisation that was created for the main purpose to assist wild lions in areas where they need it, with particular emphasis on human/wildlife conflict.
Founded by Marnus Roodbol, WFL support and study wild lion populations that are still currently surviving in small pockets of Africa and to ensure their survival for our future generations to enjoy and observe.
WFL’s current projects are based in Botswana, working with farmers and local communities, building and securing kraals (bomas), introducing and maintaining mitigation systems and aiding a peaceful resolution to any conflict involving the local lions and other predators.
Making a difference: Members of the Captured In Africa team are also part of the team at Walking For Lions, with Captured In Africa making regular donations and support to ongoing field work and research.
