Following the killing of Hwange’s iconic lion ‘Cecil’ – Lion Conservation and Wildlife Fund has been set up to focus on the long term conservation of Hwange’s lions and other wildlife. Spear-headed by Beks Ndlovu, but in collaboration with various Stakeholders of Hwange National Park, the Lion Conservation and Wildlife Fund has been set up to first and foremost assist with the direct protection of lions in and around Hwange National Park.

The campaign will then further assist Zimbabwe National Parks to potentially increase their boundaries and help stop unsustainable killing of other wildlife in and around Hwange, creating a habitat of bio-diversity where Lions and other key species can thrive.

Captured In Africa are passionate about leading the way in promoting Conservation Awareness through the Lens and fully support such local initiatives to safeguard lions and other wildlife. The fact that this initiative involves camps & lodges within Hwange National Park, means a safari with Captured In Africa directly gives back to protecting and conserving wildlife and in particular the lions of Hwange.
